I watched a male Chestnut Quail-thrush quietly fossicking amongst Mallee leaf litter as it meandered around the trees.
Nothing could seem quieter and more inoffensive (unless you were a grub cowering in the leaf litter) but that didn't stop aggressive Yellow-plumed Honeyeaters from buzzing it as it foraged.
